High-Q Fano resonances in diamond nanopillars

We report on the optical behaviour of a nanostructured diamond surface glass substrate. The numerical model reveals that simple geometrical pattern sustains Fano-like resonances with Q-factor as high 3.5 · 10 5 can be excited by plane waves impinging normally surface. show parameters nanopillars affect both resonant frequency and line shape. straightforwardly used refractive index sensor sensitivity linearity. Our findings diamond-based meta-surfaces are valuable nanophotonic platform to control light propagation at nanoscale, enabling large field enhancement within nanoresonators foster linear nonlinear effects.
